Highest elevation in ontario. • Visualization and sharing of free topographic maps. The highest elevation point is Ishpatina Ridge in the Temagami area, reaching 693 meters (2,274 feet) above sea level. Ontario High Points documents my planning, routes, and journeys to the often remote and beautiful backcountry peaks of Ontario. Ishpatina Ridge rises approximately 300 m (984 ft) above the immediate area. The next highest points are in Dufferin, Grey and the western side of Simcoe counties, where the elevation ranges from 430 m (1,400') to 540 m (1,750'). The highest spot in Ontario, 95 kilometres north of Sudbury, was determined only in 1972 when Ishpatina Ridge, with an elevation of 693 metres, was found to be 28 metres higher than Ogidaki Mountain. One of these humps, Ishpatina Ridge (meaning “high hill” in native Ojibwa language) was determined to be the highest point in Ontario in 1972. * Measured as the elevation of land above sea level (asl). The Elevation Maps of the locations in Ontario,Canada are generated using NASA's SRTM data. Deep in Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park, a series of exposed granite humps rise above the crystalline waters of the Canadian Shield. 1srr 1w n5f05p puh4xs3 lg 5fb owwcg0 sg6qj rgzxty p2
